Cozy up to the winter season by joining us for a session of DIY holiday card making! If you're spreading the joy that is Christmas, Hanukah, Yuletide, or just the awesomeness that is snow and more snow, we've got you covered. In this workshop we'll have tons of paper for you to play with, and we'll be demonstrating single-signature stitching, collage, wax-sealing, as well as some DIY stenciling, stamping and printmaking techniques that don't require a studio. Make as many cards as you can, and have fun doing it!
Here are some techniques we'll be exploring in-class:
- stamping with wood & string
- stamping with erasers
- printing with carved erasers
- printing with carved VEGETABLES (yes vegetables!)
- wax sealing
- simple geometric stencil making, filled in w/ paint
As always, all supplies will be provided, and the class is totally appropriate to children as well as adults. We have room for a LOT of people on this one, so don't be shy! You can expect to print enough cards for everyone you really like.
